One of the things I love most about Carmel-by-the-Sea is that for a small coastal village, the dining scene rivals that of much larger cities. Dametra Cafe — One of the liveliest restaurants in Carmel. Mediterranean dishes, live music, and an energetic atmosphere make Dametra a favorite among both locals and visitors.
Cocina de la Herencia — One of my personal favorites in Carmel. Cocina de la Herencia serves elevated Mexican cuisine in a warm and inviting setting. The restaurant combines traditional flavors with fresh California ingredients and is a great option for both lunch and dinner. It's often one of the first places I recommend when clients ask where they can find excellent Mexican food in town.
Cultura Comida y Bebida — A modern take on Mexican cuisine featuring creative dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and a stylish atmosphere. A great choice for those looking for something beyond traditional Mexican fare.
Flying Fish Grill — Consistently regarded as one of the area's top seafood restaurants. Fresh fish, creative preparations, and excellent service have earned it a loyal following.
